Taking it to the Max

I don't have a lot of maxi length skirts in my closet, as midi is my length of choice, however if one has a fabulous print then I am willing to give a longer length a try. So when I saw this maxi with an over the top dramatic floral print on it, I knew I had to snatch it up. This maxi length skirt, which is from Make Me Chic, looks and feels expensive with its thick scuba fabric, however it's priced under $25. Finding things at reasonable price points also makes trying something new more appealing as well!

My styling of this skirt is very similar to the outfit I wore in my The Writing is One the Wall post. I basically followed the same formula of wearing my Zara black and white gingham blouse with an abstract floral print skirt. Now that I think about it, the sunnies and shoes are the same too! However, as I always say, if it's not broke, don't fix it. That mantra can be applied to almost anything in life, including fashion formulas.

  5. I love that skirt--the colors really pop with the gingham shirt too! I don't have a ton of maxi-length skirts/dresses either but I do really like them. That skirt is a great find!

  6. That's a skirt that makes maximum impact and I love it paired with the gingham top. Super stylish. I've never bought anything from Make Me Chic - what are the sizes like? Are they pretty true to size, skimpy or generous? I'm always wary buying on line as sizes vary so much between companies I can be anything between 3 or 4 sizes!

    1. Thank you! The sizes from companies like Make me Chic and SheIn tend to run on the small size in my opinion. I took a size M in this skirt and I am usually a size 4 in J. Crew and other brands. I agree that the sizing between companies is all over the place, which can make shopping very frustrating! I also have about 4 different sizes hanging in my closet!

  11. That skirt is wonderful and looks expensive. I need to order it once my shopping ban is over lol. May I ask, how tall are you?

I believe in shopping formulas too and on my latest post today I shared an outfit formula for me.

    1. I think they just restocked this skirt Ada, so hopefully it is available after your shopping ban! I am about 5'9" so that should give you some idea regarding the length of the skirt.
