Paint Splat!

Last week I wore this outfit to celebrate my first day of summer vacation. I don't know if the photos convey this, but I miraculously felt incredibly fresh and rejuvenated on my first day off. (It's amazing what sleeping in and not having looming stacks of papers to grade will do for a person!) Unfortunately, with the first day of summer vacation also came the first day of truly summer-like weather in Los Angeles with high temperatures and scorching sun. I was really enjoying the spell of cloudy and overcast days we had for the last month or so, but it looks like those days have come to an end. 



So on this first day of summer, I decided to wear my new paint splat skirt from Make Me Chic. As you probably know by now, I love anything with an artistic flair or a painterly print. Since this skirt definitely fits the above criteria and has lots and lots of colors, it felt like the skirt was practically made for me!

    I love the pattern on the skirt it is so fun. I really like that the fabric on the skirt has some texture to it.

    I'm happy that June Gloom is over because that means more beach days! But the heat is definitely making me wish I had air conditioning :( Just love that skirt! So cute!

    Yay for summer vacation! I hope you're enjoying it so far. Summer weather has really come with a vengeance around here too, so I'm also trying to keep cool. I love that skirt--the paint splatter detail is so fun!
