Edgy Floral

I understand that most of what I wear is far from "edgy", but from time to time it is fun to take something that is classic, dare I say sweet, like a floral dress or polka dot shoes and add a little unexpected twist. This is exactly what I did today with my new dress from Milly for Kohl's. I bought this dress along with two others last weekend. I know the line isn't exactly new, as it was released a few months ago, but the sale prices now make the line an even better bargain than before. I paid under $30 for this dress, which in my opinion is very kate spade inspired and as I previously stated, a mere fraction of the price. While I may be late to the "Milly party" (other bloggers featured these in spades when they first came out) it's better late than never.

As I mentioned, I paired this dress with an unexpected twist in the form of a more "edgy" belt with studs. It's not my usual style, but now that summer is here, I feel much more free and not so inhibited and therefore it's fun to try new things. Plus, I am getting a head start on my list of things to do and see in the Los Angeles area. I am going to post this weekend where I am at in these pictures, but perhaps for those of you who live in the area or for those of you who have visited the area, you can take a guess!
