Hint of Mint

Mint is great, but in small amounts. Sure, it's refreshing, be it to eat or to wear, but a little goes a long way. I am growing mint in my garden right now to use as garnish in drinks and desserts. But notice it's just a garnish, not the main course. Same thing with mint in your wardrobe. You rarely see someone decked out in head to toe mint, but one or two pieces here and there add up to just the right amount of refreshing "flavor". Take my outfit today, the print of my pencil skirt has just a hint of mint, so I played this up with my accessories.

Speaking of mint and drinks made with mint, I am excited for this Saturday's Kentucky Derby. (I know, this is the second time I have mentioned it on my blog.) You see, my dog is from Kentucky, so I feel like that should make me an honorary Kentuckian. Anyway, I'll be sitting back and enjoying a refreshing mint julep watching the race this weekend!

  6. I have been wanting to grow some mint in my yard since I use mint daily for my water. Just have been lazy to go and buy it to plant. I love this mix of patterns in your outfit . I have the same print in the pants and love them.
