I personally don't usually make a big deal of the holiday, although I do like to cook something like corned beef or shepherd's pie in honor of the occasion and maybe have a Guinness. Probably my most memorable Saint Patrick's Day story is when I lived in NYC and I parked my car in an area that needed to be cleared the next day for the infamous Saint Patrick's Day parade. Well, in the morning when I went to get my car, it had been towed! So I tracked it down and when I did, I discovered it was parked outside of a bar, which was open with tons of drunk people (even at 7:00 in the morning) streaming in and out. To make matters worse, I discovered my car would not start, so I had to call AAA and had the pleasure of watching said drunk bar goers enjoy the festivities. Needless to say, I didn't make it to work that day due to everything that happened and so my students assumed that I was also out partying, which was very far from the truth!

DeleteI am in love with the fact that you matched your shoes and your bag. "They" say you are never supposed to do that, but I do it all the time and I think it is just so elegant looking. Great look!
