Feeling the 50s

I almost entitled this post "feeling 50", as in the age, as opposed to the decade, after going to a meeting regarding technology today. Despite the fact that I have a blog, technology is something that truly mystifies me. (I'm not implying that 50 is old, but in regards to knowing about technology I am a couple of decades behind my time.) I think I would much rather revert to a simpler time, say the 1950s, as opposed to being propelled into a future that, according to my meeting, is going to be completely run by Google.

Speaking of the 1950s, the midi skirts that have become oh so popular over the last year truly evoke the spirit of the decade. I really love the whole concept of the midi skirt. Maybe it's the part of me that secretly yearns to be a 50s housewife or maybe it's just because of the timeless silhouette, but whatever it is, I think my love of the midi skirts will be here to stay even when the "fad" goes away. Unlike the technology of the present that is rapidly changing and rendering certain things obsolete in a short period of time, some things are just classics.
