Dancing Over Summer Deals

I guess it's that time of the year when stores are tying to clear the shelves of inventory and entice consumers to move from the beaches into the stores by slashing prices. Tempted by thoughts of bargain basement prices, I happened to venture into a J. Crew and a J. Crew Factory store this weekend to take a peak at the most recent markdowns. Since the deals were plentiful, I ended up indulging just a little bit.

I was pleasantly surprised that the J. Crew factory was having an extra 60% off of the lowest sale prices on clearance items. The skirt I am wearing today is find from this most recent sale and ended up being $14 and some change. At the regular J. Crew, I found some belts (made in the US) for between $5-10 a piece. I also found this braided chain bracelet for $15 with a few other deeply discounted baubles to adorn my wrists and neck with.

William loves a good deal too, so we are doing a little silly Snoopy dance together to celebrate. Actually, I think he was just happy to see me when I got home, but I'll pretend it's because he likes to sniff out a good bargain too!

Below you will see the patterns of the three other skirts I procured from the J. Crew Factory sale (all for the low price of $14!).  I'm looking forward to styling them soon and doing another happy dance!

  1. How cute, you dancing with your dog! That put a grin on my face! For those deals, I'd be dancing too. :) Love the orange and blue together.

    1. Thanks M! William is a very good dancer. In fact, he's a regular Fred Astaire! (Actually he just has the very bad habit of jumping on people and not letting go.)
