They're Multiplying!

While it isn't spring just yet, I thought I would wear the following dress as sort of an inauguration to spring and the Easter season which is right around the corner. You might not realize it at first glance, but this dress features bunnies, lots of bunnies! While at Anthropologie I passed right by the Franziska Shirtdress and then a little bit of a bunny peaking out caught my eye and I had to take a second look. When I realized that the dress featured a plethora of bunnies I immediately tried it on.

I love bunnies and used to have a pet bunny named Sophie who was the most delightful French lop in the world. I pretty much will buy anything with bunnies on it, but I usually like the bunnies to be a little chubby, like Sophie. Not that Sophie was overweight or anything, but the breed is naturally larger with the cute floppy ears which lops are famous for.

It seems like the bunny items in my closet are doing what bunnies do in real life, multiplying like crazy! Below I am featuring a picture of Sophie and a few other bunny print items. Believe it or not the picture of Sophie below was taken in the Hamptons. I think she was one of the only bunnies to have traveled to the Hamptons for a weekend vacation, flown on a plane and partied it up at the Ritz Carlton Pasadena at a wedding. She was a very glamorous bunny!

Below is William with his most recent acquisition. My husband thought his new rope toy matched the colors in my dress. I actually had a purple sweater on earlier, so I guess the colors do match up! William is color blind so he probably didn't notice, not that he would care anyway...he's a guy.

Here's Sophie in the sand in the Hamptons. I still can't believe that my now husband and I were able to pack her up and drive out there for a long weekend. She didn't really like the sand or the waves, but I guess that makes sense and explains why you don't usually see bunnies on the beach. She was hoping to run into P Diddy and some other Hampton celebrities.

Last, some bunny themed prints from my closet. The first one is my favorite. It is from a skirt I bought while in New York by Tibbi. The colors are really pretty in real life. I can't wait to wear it this spring.

funny you talk about bringing her to the beach... we were in carmel and there was a lady and her daughter with two bunnies on leads. they both appeared to be hating it. i thought it was funny..

    1. Thanks! I am happy to know I am not the only crazy person to bring her bunny to the beach. The last print is from a sweatshirt from Urban Outfitters. I had it on in a previous post, it is pretty old.

  2. Sophie is adorable and so is your dress! Where are the flats from, if I may ask?
