I bought this coat when I was in graduate school and living in New York almost 10 years ago. It is hard to believe that it's 10 years old and even harder to think that I have been out of school for that long! I remember I used to be obsessed with the brand Custo Barcelona and had many of their funky patterned skirts and shirts which were all the rage at the time. While still around, Custo Barcelona seems to have fallen out of fashion with consumers and the media. Regardless, many of their pieces still look great in my opinion and I am glad that I am discovering such pieces again and giving them new life. Shopping my closet is turning out to be pretty fun!
As I have explained before, many of my coats have been in hibernation since moving to Los Angeles. In New York one can never have too many coats and jackets, but in Los Angeles the weather seldom provides the opportunity for thick layers and warm coats. I decided since the weather was cool and rainy today to break out this "technicolor dreamcoat" and take it for a spin.
While it probably doesn't seem like it from the pictures, the weather actually turned quite grey and stormy about 20 minutes after these photos were taken. My coat added a little brightness to the otherwise dark and dreary day.

ReplyDeleteThanks Laura! The Cerf tote was my first designer bag, so it is very special to me.
