Fair Isle Done Fancy

I feel like I am always a little late to the party when it comes to blogging. By the time something I want goes on sale for a price that I think is reasonable, I buy it and I then receive said item in the mail, it's usually sold out and I feel like my review is irrelevant. Add on to that the fact that the weather often doesn't always permit me to wear more seasonable items such as heavy sweaters and coats right away and you have quite a delay.

I got this Fair Isle sweater from the J. Crew Factory last week and it is already sold out online. A similar version appeared last year at J. Crew and I would have preffered that version to this one, just due to the difference in materials: wool vs. an acrylic wool blend. Regardless, I love the soft feel of this sweater and the black and red color scheme. If it ever pops back, which sometimes happens, I took my usually size xs for a comfy fit.

Usually I imagine Fair Isle sweaters to be an article of clothing that one wears around the ski lodge or on a hike paired with jeans, but for something different and a little fancy I paired the sweater with a sequin pencil skirt. Although I might be late to the blogging party, I am ready for any other parties that might come my way!

    1. They had two left at my store a few weeks ago. Clearly this was a popular sweater! I can't believe how quickly the factory stuff has been selling this year!

  2. Your sweater and sequin skirt are very pretty together! I know exactly what you mean about items selling out by the time you get to blog them, but nevermind because it's still a lot of fun to see your outfits. :)
